Mariners Fall in Series Opener with Detroit

Dillon Dingler had three hits and two runs-batted-in, while Kerry Carpenter added two hits and also drove in two as the Detroit Tigers out-slugged the Seattle Mariners 9-6 last (Mon) night at T-Mobile Park.

M’s starter Emerson Hancock struggled – allowing 6 earned runs on 7 hits with a walk in just 2/3 of an inning pitched.

Seattle’s Randy Arozarena, Luke Raley and Cal Raleigh all homered in the loss.
