
Still no action from Governor Little on the bill to remove candy and soda from SNAP-eligible items. He has until 3:29 this afternoon (Monday) to sign House Bill 109.
He did sign House Bill 6, giving the Attorney General’s office jurisdiction to investigate the prosecute elected county and city officials for state crimes committed when acting in official capacity.
And he signed Senate Bill 1209 adding $387,000 to Lewis-Clark State College as a “Salary Adjustment”. It also requires an audit of Boise State, U of I, and Idaho State, as well as LCSC for compliance in Idaho Code prohibiting, or relating to, diversity, equity, and inclusion in higher education. Last year, the Governor signed a law that requires Idaho’s public universities make hiring and admissions decisions on merit.
