As part of an upgrade to its electrical system to provide better reliability to its customers, Avista Utilities will conduct a planned power outage Tuesday, April 5th between 4 a.m. and 7 a.m. in the Lewiston area.
Those areas affected include electric meters along Lapwai Road from Lindsay Creek Road to the intersection of Lapwai Road and Vinifera Blvd. The outage area also includes Hepton Lane, Cougar Ridge, Wheatland and Eagles Pointe developments. Customers will receive automated communications from the company prior to the outage.
Avista recently replaced infrastructure in the affected area, and the outage is necessary to transfer power from the previous facilities to the new, rebuilt facilities.
