Former Lewiston Rep. Aaron von Ehlinger was found guilty of rape Friday, during the second day of jury deliberations.
The jury found him not guilty on a second count of sexual penetration with a foreign object.
The jury discussed the case for more than 11 hours before reaching a verdict. The decision comes exactly one year after the first-term lawmaker resigned his seat, in response to a House Ethics Committee recommendation that he be censured and suspended without pay for conduct unbecoming a representative.
