An issue affecting the main phone line at the Lewiston Police Department for about two hours this morning has been resolved.
LPD issued a news release just before 4 a.m. this morning stating the main phone line was down and directed the public to an alternate number while technicians worked to fix the problem. The outage did not affect the 911 system.
The main phone line was restored to service shortly after 6 a.m.
