LEWISTON, ID – The emergency declaration that was put into place last month following a breach at a City of Lewiston reservoir has been terminated. The order was issued on January 18th after a rupture resulted in the flooding of several homes and businesses. The City of Lewiston Public Works Department issued a Boil Water Alert Order for thousands of residents for several days.
Mayor Daniel Johnson signed the order to terminate the Declaration of Local Disaster Emergency this morning. It went into effect immediately.
