SPOKANE, WA – Christian Bothwell highlighted the rainy day at the Bucs Scoring and Multi with a win and national-qualifying mark in the decathlon. The senior totaled a personal-best in the 10-event multi and has the highest score in the NAIA as of Friday night. Sara Hathaway also came away a winner with a first-place finish in the heptathlon.

“Despite marks and times today not necessarily being at the high end, I think that our performances were pretty good considering the conditions,” Head Coach Mike Collins said. “I think probably the highlight of the day was Christian in the decathlon as he set a personal best by way over 100 points. Looking forward to warmer spring weather, especially for our sprinters. We had some good performances today with some more conference qualifiers and a few more bordering on nationals so looking forward to time to prepare before another meet in two weeks.”
