Idaho State Police (ISP) Bureau of Criminal Identification releases the annual Crime in Idaho 2022 report.

The annual Crime in Idaho 2022 report, compiled by the ISP Bureau of Criminal Identification, is a synopsis of statewide crime statistics gathered from law enforcement agencies across Idaho by a set deadline. It includes crime statistics for the Statewide Crime Profile, Crimes Against Persons, Crimes Against Property, Crimes Against Society, Hate Crime in Idaho, and Law Enforcement Officers Killed or Assaulted. The report categorizes crime by jurisdiction.

The Crime in Idaho 2022 report is available at https://nibrs.isp.idaho.gov/CrimeInIdaho (or https://bit.ly/3pvQwCo) with an interactive dashboard function that reflects any new records submitted after the publication was released. Online users can run queries and reports with public crime data. Archived Crime in Idaho publications are available on the website.

Crime rates in North Central Idaho varied. Idaho County’s overall crime rate rose by over 31 percent; Nez Perce County saw an increase of nearly 29 percent; and Lewis County’s overall crime rate was up 4.8 percent. Meanwhile, Clearwater County saw it’s overall crime rate decline by 24 percent; and Latah County’s rate was also down by 10.3 percent.
