SPOKANE, WA – KXLY – A 53-year-old woman was arrested yesterday in Tukwila for allegedly setting multiple fires in the West Hills neighborhood of Spokane last week. Vickie L. Smith reportedly told police she also set fires in the Dishman Hills area because she was upset about the housing situation in Spokane.
KXLY News 4 reports that Smith is being held in King County on three counts of first-degree arson and will be extradited to Spokane to face charges.
Several witnesses reported seeing a suspicious woman in the area during the fires. One woman confronted her about trespassing and provided a picture of her to investigators.
