Officials report management of the Hospital Fire in Orofino has been transferred from the Type 3 Incident Commander back to the local district. The incident is 100% contained and mop up operations are continuing.
Fire officials are grateful for the strong support of cooperating agencies who helped suppress the fire including the Clearwater-Potlatch Timber Protective Association, the Idaho Department of Lands, the U.S. Forest Service, the Orofino Fire Department, the Twin Ridge Rural Fire District, the Sunnyside Rural Fire District, Kamiah Fire-Rescue and the Grangemont Fire District.
