Motorcycle Rider Succumbs to Injuries in Collision on Snake River Avenue

LEWISTON, ID – The Nez Perce County Sheriff’s Office Crash Team is investigating a fatal collision that happened at about 8:27 p.m. Saturday night. According to a press release, deputies and Lewiston Police Department officers responded to the 2200 block of Snake River Avenue in front of CCI Ammunition/Vista Outdoor for a report of a motorcycle vs. car crash.

“When Deputies arrived on scene, medics had already performed life saving measures on the motorcycle rider, he was pronounced dead on scene. The driver of the sedan sustained no apparent major injuries,” the press release says.

The next of kin of the motorcycle rider was notified. The sheriff’s office has not released the names of those involved.

The Nez Perce County Sheriff’s Office Crash Team was activated to investigate the crash.

“Snake River Ave from the Southway Roundabout to just past CCI was closed during this investigation,” the sheriff’s office says. “The crash is still being investigated by the Crash Team.”
