LEWISTON, ID – Rescue personnel responded to a collision on US 95 in Nez Perce County just before noon today. According to the Idaho State Police, a 55-year-old Lewiston man was driving a 1967 Chevrolet C10 pickup southbound at milepost 323.5. He was towing a 1980 flatbed trailer loaded with lumber.
“The trailer began swerving side to side and resulted in the driver losing control of the pickup, which overturned on the southbound shoulder. The trailer detached from the pickup and spilled its load of lumber. The pickup was not equipped with seatbelts,” ISP says.
The Nez Perce County Sheriff’s Office and Genesee Ambulance assisted at the scene. The crash remains under investigation by the Idaho State Police.
