LEWISTON, ID – A 16-year-old Lewiston boy will spend the next few years at the Nez Perce County Juvenile Detention Center after pleading guilty to two counts of Attempted Murder. Second District Judge Michelle Evans this morning ordered Triston Arnzen to be held until he is 21 years of age. At that time, he will be released on probation, held on an adult rider program, or sent to prison.

Arnzen pled guilty to shooting his stepfather, George Hamblin, Jr., and his stepsister, Macayle Hamblin, on February 27, 2022, in the 600 block of Bryden Drive in Lewiston.

A second teen, Chloe Marks, pled guilty to the crimes and was sentenced in March to a minimum of four years in prison.

According to court records, Armzen supplied Marks with a gun and she shot Hamblin in the neck. She then gave the gun to Arnzen who reportedly fired two rounds at his stepfather before firing one round at the victim’s daughter. The teens were both 14 years old at the time of the shootings.
