The Nez Perce County Sheriff’s Office is launching a comprehensive seat belt enforcement initiative aimed at enhancing road safety and saving lives throughout our County.
According to a press release, the initiative underscores the commitment of the Sheriff’s Office to prioritize the well-being of Idaho’s citizens and visitors by reducing the number of preventable accidents and fatalities on state roads. By bolstering seat belt enforcement efforts, the Sheriff’s Office is taking another step forward in achieving its vision of safer and more secure roadways.
Starting Friday, November 17th, there will be increased patrols dedicated to seat belt usage. The hope is the enhanced presence will help create a stronger deterrent for those not wearing their seat belts. By increasing seat belt. enforcement, Nez Perce County aims to reduce the number of accidents and save lives.
Studies have shown that seat belts significantly reduce the risk of injury and death in the event of a crash.
