PECK, ID – A bearing went out in a baler, causing a fire that caught onto the field. It was located on Little Canyon Road out of Peck on Monday. Window on the Clearwater reports that Todd Wright, Assistant Fire Warden of Maggie Creek Area Idaho Department of Lands, confirmed the Lazy Horse Fire grew to 2.5 acres before it was contained. Big Canyon Fire District and IDL crews responded to the fire. IDL crews were rechecking the field today to ensure no hot spots Wright says.
