Geno Smith threw for 284 yards and a touchdown in the loss for Seattle.
The Giants blocked the game-tying field goal try late in the fourth quarter to secure the win.
The Hawks fall to 3-2 and will host the San Francisco 49ers Thursday at Lumen Field in an NFC West Division game.
