A Moscow man is under arrest for allegedly stabbing another man Wednesday night in Moscow.
According to a news release from the Moscow Police Department, at approximately 9:42 PM, Moscow Police officers were dispatched to a report of a stabbing occurring at 122 North Washington Street inside Apartment 1F. The reporting party stated they heard a commotion and upon entering the living room area of the residence, saw the victim, identified as 73-year-old Joseph Thompson, on top of the suspect, identified as 35-year-old Dylan Thompson, holding the suspect to the floor.
Officers arrived on scene and the Dylan Thompson was taken into custody. Joseph Thompson was transported by ambulance to Gritman Medical Center to be treated for multiple stab wounds. According to the release, Joseph Thompson is currently listed in stable condition.
During the investigation, officers learned the victim and suspect are family members.
Dylan Thompson was transported to the Latah County Jail and has been charged with Attempted 2nd Degree Murder and Burglary.
The incident remains under investigation.
