Republicans Dominate Regional Idaho State Legislative Races

Republicans swept regional Idaho State Legislative contests.

Incumbent Republican Dan Foreman defeated Democrat Julia Parker 53.3 percent to 46.7 percent in the District 6 State Senate seat.

Republican incumbent Lori McCann retained her District 6 State Representative A seat over Democrat Trish Carter-Goodheart 64.8 percent to 35.2 percent.

In the race for the Idaho District 6 State Representative Seat B position: Republican Brandon Mitchell defeated Democrat Kathy Dawes 58.1 percent to 41.9 percent.

Republican State Senator Cindy Carlson easily retained her seat with 75.3 percent to Democrat Bill Farmer’s 24.7 percent.

In the District 7 State Representative Seat A race, Republican Kyle Harris beat Democrat Vickie Nostrant 75 percent to 24.6 percent.

And in the Idaho District 7 Representative Seat B contest: Incumbent Republican Charlie Shepherd retained his seat over Democrat challenger Dustin Hardisty, 77 percent to 22.9 percent.
