Nearly 80 million Americans, including 464,000 Idahoans, plan to take a trip over the Thanksgiving Holiday.
Of those who plan to drive, the American Automobile Association says they can expect to be thankful for falling gasoline prices both across the country and in Idaho.
According to AAA, today’s average price for a gallon of regular gasoline in Idaho is $3.11, which is four cents less than a week ago, 26 cents less than a month ago, and 53 cents less than a year ago. Meanwhile, the national average currently sits at $3.07 per gallon, which is half a penny less than a week ago, six cents less than a month ago and 18 cents less than a year ago. Idaho motorists are paying the 15th highest price for gasoline in the U.S.
AAA urges motorists to drive safely over the holiday and asks that everyone inside the vehicle be buckled up and that children’s car seats are properly installed and secured.
