The Nez Perce County Sheriff’s Office is investigating a single-vehicle fatal accident this (Mon) morning on the Old Spiral Highway approximately 2 miles up.
According to a news release, a Toyota 4 Runner with 3 occupants left the roadway and
ended up over 200 feet down the ravine. One occupant was able to walk to a nearby residence to call for help and was later taken to the hospital via ground ambulance. Two other occupants were extricated from the vehicle. One person was transported to the hospital via ground ambulance. The third subject was pronounced deceased on scene.
At this time it is unclear who the driver of the vehicle was. The incident is being investigated by the Nez Perce County Major Collision Team.
