Lewiston Boys Win, Girls Fall To Moscow

The Lewiston High School basketball teams split their doubleheader with Moscow on Tuesday night at Bengal Gym. 

 

The Lewiston girls dropped their opening 5A Inland Empire League game to the Bears 42-30.  The Bengals were led by Senior Addy McKarcher’s 9 points.  LHS struggled to shoot from the free throw line, going 7-23.  The Lewiston girls have now lost four games in a row and will try to bounce back on Friday night when they face Post Falls on the road.

 

The Lewiston boys got off to a blistering start, connecting on 6 three pointers in the first quarter, and led 21-7 at the end of the first. The Bengals took a 42-15 lead into the halftime break and eventually coasted to a 67-36 win over Moscow.  Lewiston was led by Royce Fisher’s 17 points and 10 points from Junior guard Jordan Walker.  LHS hit 13 threes as a team.  The win pushes Lewiston to 11-1 on the year and 1-0 in Inland Empire League play.

 

The Lewiston boys will now travel to take on the Hanford Falcons in the Tri Cities on Friday night.
