BOISE, ID – Welcome to the newest Deputy State Fire Marshal, Debbie Carpenter. She joined the team after Idaho legislators approved additional staff in 2024 to serve the citizens of Idaho better.
“Debbie has been heavily involved in the fire service for the past 30 years, beginning her career with the Carrollton Fire and Rescue in Texas, where she worked up through the ranks to assistant fire chief. Debbie also served as fire chief with the Spirit Lake Fire District in Idaho before joining our team,” a press release says.
In addition to an impressive list of certifications and credentials, she holds a Master’s Degree in Public Safety and is a graduate of Texas A&M’s Fire Service Chief Executive Officer program.
Carpenter has been assigned to Region I (North Idaho), covering Idaho County to Boundary County.
