The LC Valley Food Project, a new online food hub pilot project for the greater LC Valley region and Palouse, is now open for ordering for the first delivery on Monday, March 10 from 4 to 6 pm.

For the initial pilot project, scheduled pickups occur every subsequent Monday from 4 to 6 pm through the month of March. The project is collaborating with the Clarkston and Pullman farmers markets and the Pullman Good Food Coop for volunteer support, and local businesses Blue Lantern Coffee House in Lewiston and Terracotta in Pullman, plus the Port of Clarkston will serve as local pickup locations.

Buyers can sign up to order on the ordering platform Rekohub.com, which utilizes a mobile app to make purchases of locally grown or produced meat, eggs, honey, mushrooms, microgreens, and baked goods.  Until local produce becomes readily available, regional seasonal produce will be available to add as well.  Each week orders will be open Tuesday mornings and close Fridays at noon for pickup the following Monday afternoon between 4pm and 6pm.

The new option aims to make buying local foods more streamlined for consumers by reducing the need to travel to different farm or business locations.  Additionally, by providing local farmers and producers advance online orders, their production can be optimized while minimizing costs.
