Big Sixth Inning Propels Warriors Past Whitman

Jack Sheward had two hits, including a 3-run homerun and Ike George went 4-for-4 in leading the Lewis-Clark State baseball team to an 11-4 win on the road over Whitman College last (Wed) night in Walla Walla.

LC broke the game open scoring 8 runs in the 6th inning.

Brandon Cabrera added two hits and 3 runs-batted-in as the 20th ranked Warriors improved to 20-10 on the season.

LC used a program record 9 pitchers with senior right-hander Jake Green earning his first win of the season with an inning of relief.

The Warriors return to Cascade Conference play this weekend when they host Warner Pacific at Harris Field in a four-game series. Doubleheaders are scheduled for noon Saturday and 11 a.m. Sunday.
