On October 23, 2021, Hells Gate State Park will host a “trunk or treat” event for Halloween. Campers have reserved sites in the Birch Loop for camping and decorating Halloween-style.
They welcome little (and big!) ghouls and goblins for some pre-Halloween trick or treating fun.
Park Staff will act as traffic control to guide guests to one of (at least) 3 staging areas.
Vehicles will then proceed to the Birch Loop, parking in each of the 14 pull-through sites lining the inner loop.
Everyone will then proceed on foot to visit the 17 decorated sites.
A walking path will be lit for the pedestrian traffic.
Parents are asked to keep children on the outside of that barrier (the side closest to the decorated campsites).
For safety reasons, ALL CHILDREN, NO MATTER WHAT AGE, MUST BE ACCOMPANIED BY AN ADULT AT ALL TIMES.
“Gates” will open at 4:30 pm. The fun begins at 5:00 pm for ages 0 to 5, and 6:00 pm for everyone. The last vehicles will be let through at 9:30 pm and the event will end at 10:00 pm.
Each vehicle will be charged the Motor Vehicle Entry Fee of $7 for Idaho Residents or $14 for non-Idaho residents.
Entry will be free for those with Idaho State Park Passports or Annual Passes. There is no other charge for this event.
So, get those costumes ready and join Hells Gate State Park for this pre-Halloween trunk or treat event!
